This International Women’s Day, I had the pleasure of hosting a very special Women in Wine event at Wild Swans—a chic, independent women’s boutique—in islington where fashion met wine in the most inspiring way.
The evening was all about raising a glass to the talented female winemakers shaping the industry, proving that their skill, passion, and innovation deserve the spotlight. Even better? Every wine poured was readily available to buy in UK supermarkets, making it easier than ever to support women in wine with every sip.
The Wines & Their Makers
I curated a selection from incredible female winemakers across the world, ensuring that each bottle had a unique story. From elegant Albariño crafted in Spain to a bold and expressive Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia, the line-up showcased the diversity of wines made by women. Guests were able to taste, learn, and, most importantly, discover wines they could pick up on their next supermarket shop!
A Night of Conversations & Connection
The energy in the room was incredible—empowered women, discussing everything from their favourite wines to the challenges female winemakers still face today.
Wine & Wardrobe – The Perfect Pairing
Hosting this at Wild Swans added another dimension to the night. The boutique’s beautiful collections, designed for strong, independent women, felt like the perfect setting to celebrate trailblazing female winemakers.
Drink With Purpose
Supporting women in wine doesn’t have to mean hunting down rare bottles—many fantastic wines by female winemakers are sitting on the supermarket shelves, just waiting to be discovered.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined, to Wild Swans for hosting, and to all the winemakers who continue to inspire. Here’s to women in wine—today and every day!
