Something is enchanting about harvest season, even when it’s quintessentially English—cue the pouring rain! At the stunning Piggott’s Estate in Kent, I had the privilege of witnessing grape-picking in action at Louis Pommery and trust me, the magic of the vineyard is worth every muddy step.
As soon as I stepped into the lush rows of vines, I couldn’t resist sneaking a grape straight from the bunch (because how could you not?).
Guided by Julien Lonneux himself, I got a private tour filled with exciting insights about the vineyard’s future and the varieties thriving here, like the sophisticated Pinot Noir.
And yes, I tried my hand at harvesting—though let’s just say I won’t be quitting my day job anytime soon!
Louis Pommery’s sparkling wine perfectly captures the spirit of this beautiful vineyard. It’s vibrant, playful, and guaranteed to please any crowd. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just curious, this is English sparkling at its finest.
Have you tried Louis Pommery yet? Let me know your thoughts!
