No and low alcohol options are improving all the time – so much so that my no and low events are now almost as popular as the ‘with alcohol’ equivalents!
Join me in a unique tasting to explore the new and growing world of no & low-alcohol alternatives, comparing low alcohol (6-7% wine) to no alcohol at 0%. Whether you're a sceptic or a fan, this tasting will challenge perceptions and introduce you to exciting alternatives that mimic the complexity of wine without the alcohol.
Guests will taste four non-alcoholic alternatives to the four low alcohol wines – being sparkling, white, red and rose. We’ll explore their aromas, textures, and flavours while discussing how they are made and why they work as substitutes.
No & Low Tasting Lineup:
Sparkling Wine:
Alternative: Copenhagen Sparkling Tea ‘Lyserød’ A unique blend of organic white, green, and oolong teas with floral, citrus, and spice notes, delivering depth and complexity similar to fine white wine.
No: French Bloom Blanc A sophisticated alcohol-free sparkling wine with crisp apple and white flower notes, offering a refined balance of acidity and minerality.
White Wine:
Low: Mid strength mineral-driven dry white wine from the Loire. No: Torres refreshing dry white wine from Spain. Delicate, floral and lovely citrus finish.
Rosé Wine:
Low: Blood Orange Spritzi NV
Zesty and aromatic aperitif wine based spritz wih blood orange and bitter herb flavours. No: Kyle Minogue 0% Prosecco Rose. A delicate pale Rosé sparkling, known for its light red fruit and floral notes.
Red Wine:
Low: 19 Crimes Mid Strength Red
